ANNUAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION AT OUR B.ED COLLEGE CAMPUS GROUND

National English School celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 17th December and 21st December 2022 at our B.Ed. College Campus, Rajarhat, amidst great mirth, vigour and vivacity. A lively welcome dance marked the commencement of the program, followed by the Declaration of Sports Meet by honourable Rector Sir, Mr. Samir Kumar Saha. The council members of the four houses soon started the march past with the flags of their respective houses held tightly in their hands. The oath taking ceremony by the council members added to the spirit of sports and enthusiasm among the students. Our respected Rector Sir ignited the flame and after conducting the relay of torch, he emphasized on the importance of sports to bring about an all-round development of the students. We were fortunate to have the esteemed MLA of Rajarhat, Newtown, Mr. Tapas Chatterjee as our chief guest. He and the other dignitaries were welcomed warmly and felicitated by our reputed Principal Madam, Mrs. Mousumi Saha. 


The events began with an enthusiastic drill and the formation of extraordinary human pyraminds by our exceptionally talented students. The students of primary section of both the branches competed in a series of events such as 'Hop a little jump a little ', 'Rain rain go away', 'Colour Magic', 'Balance me well', among several others. The students of the senior section participated in a host of other competitions like 'Tie your shoe laces', 'Sack race', 'Three-legged race', 'Relay', 'Tug of War', along with multiple other events. The loud cheer of the audience echoed through the entire venue, as everybody motivated the participants and intensified the verve and solidarity of the program.The excitement grew stronger as prizes were distributed to the winners by Rector Sir and Principal Madam. After all the events were over, all the participants were served with sumptuous food packets. 


Amidst the loud cheer of the students, the staff also competed in 'Passing the ball.' By the end of the program, the spirits of sportsmanship and teamwork were strongly ingrained among the students.
