School`s Emblem:

The school`s emblem, showing a Swan in flight, with the motto Dare to Know  symbolizes the pupils undaunted quest for knowledge.

The emblem reads n.e.s., the English alphabets making the abbreviation of the schools name. The Chairman of NES Education Society, Prof. (Dr.) Pradip Basu, Assistant professor, Scottish Church College has artistically given it the shape of a flying swan. In Bengal, the swan has long been considered as one who is in search of truth, one who can separate out the truth from lies and falsity and one who has a sacred and pure soul.

The swan, with an indomitable spirit, moves ahead and dares higher in quest of truth and knowledge. Thus, the aim of the school perfectly matches with the schools motto `Dare to Know`.
